Amauri Mareek Lindsey, aged 25, born on December 22, 1997, in Peoria, IL. "Mauri" was raised and resided in Las Vegas, NV, where he was called home on Sunday, August 6th, 2023. He was a loving son, devoted sibling, and a friend who left an indelible mark on the lives of those he touched.
Amauri was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and his grandfather, Terry N. Moore (paternal.) Amauri was the cherished child of Raquel (Guyton) and Terry N. Lindsey. He is survived by both parents, his sister, Aalaysia Lindsey, and his brother, Anai Lindsey, grandparents Emma and Jessie Guyton, grandmother, Kathleen Dothard (Mitchell), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Amauri's presence in the lives of his family brought joy, laughter, and a deep sense of connection.
Amauri graduated from Desert Oasis High School in Las Vegas and attended Dixie State University in Utah. Amauri's passion for music was a defining aspect of his life. He dedicated countless hours to writing and recording music that resonated with his unique creativity. His artistic endeavors were not only a reflection of his talent, but also a way for him to communicate his emotions, dreams, and experiences with the world.
Beyond his musical pursuits, Amauri loved sports and was a true friend to many. His warm smile, genuine kindness, and ability to listen endeared him to everyone he met. He had a remarkable ability to make others feel understood and valued, fostering deep and meaningful relationships.
Amari's memory will live on through the melodies he composed and the moments he shared with his loved ones. His legacy of passion, creativity, and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew him.
