Donald Ray Brown, lovingly known as “Ducc,” was born on November 20, 1974, in North Las Vegas, Nevada, to the late Arthur Ray Brown and Alice Marie (Clark) Brown. He attended Gibson Middle School and later finished his education at Western High School, where he was a active member of the football team. During his high school years, Donald took pride in working at the Aladdin Hotel Casino as a room service attendant, a position his father recommended him for. This early experience laid the foundation for a fulfilling career, which continued at the Four Queens Hotel Casino.
In his youth, Donald attended Victory Baptist Church with his family, where he accepted Christ. He was a devoted sports fan, with a special love for the Dallas Cowboys, and he cherished time spent with family and friends. Donald was known for his lively spirit. He loved playing dominoes, spades, and Pitty Pat, bringing joy to every gathering. He also had a passion for “as he would say” schooling the youngsters and had aspirations of one day becoming a youth counselor/mentor.
Ducc’s greatest joy was spending time with his daughter “Smoochie,” Bunny. His infectious spirit and joyful catchphrases, such as “Party Time!” will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney Clark Sr. and Arthur Ray Brown Jr., fondly remembered as “Flicc.”
He leaves to cherish and celebrate his memories: He is survived by his former spouse of 23 years, Felicia Brown, with whom he maintained a special and enduring bond. Their beloved daughter, Donniqua Rayshawnna Brown, affectionately called “Bunny.” He also leaves behind his stepchildren, Antoine Hankston, Antoinique Hankston, Tyesheia “Dinner Roll,” and Dianesha “Jhonny,” as well as his cherished grandchildren: Alaysia, Heaven, Demetrius, Halo, Anorah, and Anastasia, whom he lovingly called “Papa’s babies.” Donald is also survived by his older sister, Tammy Clark, his brother, Keith Brown, and his nieces and nephews: Rodney Clark, Alicia Fletcher, Ronald Clark, Michael Fletcher, Arzhanae Brown, and Jayden Brown. He will be deeply missed by his lifelong friends/brothers, Marty and Darrell Hankston, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the Brown family has requested donations be made directly to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses. On behalf of the family, your outpour of love is greatly appreciated, and will be acknowledged by them at a later date.
