Ernest Jerome Virgil

Ernest Jerome Virgil was born February 13, 1962 at Sunrise Hospital to the late Walter and Thelma Virgil. He graduated from Las Vegas High School and attended HVAC school and plumbing. 

Ernest was a proud and loving father, grandfather, brother and son. He was a lover of music and enjoyed singing. He always tested his limits when it came to new challenges, which is one of the many reasons why he enjoyed getting his hands dirty with construction work and plumbing. The passion he had for music filled him abundantly. He had a nice voice and would sing any chance he could. He also enjoyed writing songs, mainly gospel songs.

To know Ernest was to know how smooth, funny, laid-back, family loving, compassionate and generous he was. He never really got mad, he loved to make others smile. He was someone you enjoyed being around, whether it was to share jokes and laughs, or just simply enjoying his presence. He was a lively spirit. He enjoyed having a good time playing spades, going bowling, shooting pool, playing board games and having movie nights.

Being a grandfather overflowed his cup gracefully, and teaching his grands magic tricks, was something he looked forward to. He had the most contagious laugh and the biggest heart that will forever live with us!

On February 11, 2025 just two days before he turned 63, Ernest was called home by the Lord to celebrate his birthday in the most angelic way.

Ernest was preceded in death by his sisters Debra Joyce Virgil and Sherri (Shae) Issac.

 Ernest is survived by his two daughters Jazmin Virgil and Breaun Criner. His four grandchildren Jayla (Baby J), Autumn, Blu, and Kyrin. He is also survived by Pamela Kelly (sister), Dr. Carl Virgil (brother), Beverly Issac (sister),Walter E Virgil (Brother), Jaqueline Virgil (sister), Cassandra Virgil (Sister), Aunt Rosie Glass, Aunt Mildred Marshall, and a blessed amount of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
