Linda was born on June 21,1953, in Magnolia, Arkansas, to Irene Scott Coleman and Lee Dell Coleman. She was the third of five children. At the age of 12, Linda and two of her siblings moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to live with their father, Lee Dell Coleman, where she graduated from Rancho High School in 1973.
Linda began her career in the hospitality industry, working at several hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, including the Frontier and Circus Circus. After over 30 years of dedicated service, she retired in 2015.
A devoted mother, Linda was blessed with a daughter, Latoya, in 1976. Later in life, she became a grandmother to Toshiana Strickland, Dariana Jackson, and Reggie Coleman-Holmes. She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Brielle Richards (known lovingly as Damissy).
Linda is survived by one sister, Joyce Lacy, from the union of Lee Dell and Irene Coleman; and three half-sisters from Lee Dell Coleman and Margaret Coleman: Glenda Hill, Sheila Coleman, and Joyce M. James. She is also survived by her aunts in Arkansas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity.
Linda was preceded in death by her siblings Ernestine Jamerson, John Edward Jamerson, and Suela Coleman. She was a loving mother, a cherished friend, and a woman who left behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering support.
Her family and friends will remember Linda for her ability to always be there when needed, offering wisdom, love, and guidance to all who knew her. Her presence in this world will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
