Marcia Carrere

Marcia “Marci” Carrere (Burke), returned home to be with the Lord on December 1st, 2023 at the age of 62.  

Born in 1960 Montego Bay, Jamaica, the daughter of Ronald “Tommy” Edwards and Cecelia “Sis” Harris. As a child, Marcia grew up in Anchorage, Alaska with her mother Cecelia where she attended school. Marcia would go on to excel in school obtaining exceptional grades and being enrolled into honors courses.

As a young adult, Marcia would move from Alaska in pursuit of a career in the lower 48. Eventually, she ended up settling in Las Vegas, Nevada where she began her career in Information Technology with the Clark County School District.  During her time in Las Vegas, Marcia met the love of her life Larry John Carrere Sr. In 2001, Marci and Larry would go on to seal their commitment to love by getting married in Jamaica. Together, they enjoyed life to the fullest by traveling, eating good food, and spending quality time with their friends and family.

In her spare time, Marci was involved with yoga, frequent lunch dates with her friends, and establishing new business endeavors. Marci will be missed deeply by her friends and family. Her soul was one-of-a-kind and she gave her best to spread love, joy and happiness to those around her, she was truly a blessing on earth. Marcia is survived by siblings; Audrey, Yvonne, Jackie, Joy, and Patrick. Nephews; Burke, Michael. Preceded in death by; Cecelia, Larry , Sandra, Tommy.

Gone but not forgotten, rest in peace...
