Monique Lanec Woods, affectionately known as “MoMo” was born June 20, 1982, to the proud parents of Stacey Stewart and Reggie Woods in Pasadena, California. She was the middle child of 3 siblings.
As a young girl Monique was int to Christ and grew up in church. This upbringing would become the very foundation of her life. As she matured, she joined Lincoln Ave Christian Church. Monique was a faithful believer and stood on Christ and the Word of God.
Monique received her education through the Pasadena Unified School District graduating from Pasadena High School in 2000. Monique furthered her education as Pharmacy Technician graduating from Northwest College in Pasadena, California where she shortly after began her career in the medical field. A few years later in 2008 after losing her grandmother “her world” Monique moved to Las Vegas and continued her career in the medical field.
Monique was a devoted hard working woman. Monique concluded life’s journey in Las Vegas, Nevada working at Color Gamut Digital Imaging where she was loved tremendously by her fellow co-workers. Monique had a heart of gold and was definitely one of a kind! She was loved by everyone, there wasn’t a soul she came in contact with that didn’t love her infectious smile and outgoing personality. Monique loved her music and enjoyed nature. She had one of the most genuine caring spirits, she was known for her great sense of humor and her smile could light up the darkest room.
Monique cherished the bond she shared with her family and friends, always offering support and being there for them. Her love and passion were evident in everything she did, leaving a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing her. Monique’s untimely departure leaves a void in the lives of those who loved her. However, her memory will be cherished and her spirit will live on through the cherished moments and the love she shared with others. May she rest in peace, forever remembered as a person who brought laughter, love, and warmth into the lives of those around her.
On September 23rd God dispatched his angels to usher Monique into paradise where she was greeted by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Monique leaves a legacy of memories to be cherished by her loving parents, Stacey Stewart and Reggie Woods, her baby sister Cortney Woods, her older brother Reggie Woods Jr. her nieces Nova and Bri’or whom she loved and adored so much, aunts, uncles, a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins, loving relatives and close friends.
