Roberta Beatrice Jackson

Roberta Beatrice Pitts was born to Robert and Lazella Pitts on June 12, 1929, in Seguin, Texas. Roberta grew up and attended school in Seguin, Texas. She was the first born of six children.

Roberta at an early age accepted Christ and was baptized at the Second Baptist Church in Seguin, Texas. She always had a passion for singing and would participate in singing competitions all over the state of Texas.

Roberta graduated from Ball High School. After graduation she attended a college where she continued her singing endeavor.

In 1947 Roberta moved to Los Angeles, California where she met and married Albert Jackson Jr. and to this union three children were born, Brenda, Albert III, and Rosalyn.

Roberta was the best mother in the world. 

Roberta owned and operated her daycare for years, she later transitioned to her home where she continued to provide care for children. She had a great love and passion for children.

Roberta enjoyed church, bowling, being with her family, and traveling to Las Vegas.

On August 26, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. God said your work is done here on Earth, you now have a new home that is paved in gold and oh! so beautiful, you now have a home with me in Heaven.

Roberta will now join her parents, Robert and Lazella, her husband, Bert, and five brothers, Manuel, Delma, Albert, George and Joe who all preceded her in death.

Roberta leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Brenda Windom, Albert Jackson III (Brenda), Rosalyn Davenport, dearest friend Dorothy B. Winn, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
