Reflections of Life
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” - 2 Timothy 4:7
Stacey Dionne Lofton White was born on January 20, 1970, to the proud parents of Thelma Lofton and Lionel Tally. Growing up, she enjoyed her role as big sister to her brothers Lionel Jr., Donnell and Ali.
She had a fun-filled relationship with her younger sisters April and Khalilah. During this time Stacey was also blessed to live and share precious time with her paternal grandmother, Vernell Jones. Living with “Grandma” was truly an adventure keeping up with her god sisters Jeanetta, Felicia, Tonya, Tiffany(deceased), brother Terrance and niece Jene'. It was while she was with “Grandma Vernell” that Stacey, as a small child, was brought to Christian Tabernacle Church, under the leadership of Pastor Maceo L. Woods, on Chicago's great south side. After being baptized by Pastor, she became a member of the Junior Usher Board, the Youth Voices Choir and the Youth Fellowship Bible Teen Group.
Stacey graduated from Unity Catholic High School in 1988 and enrolled in Dillard University, graduating in 1992, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. While attending Dillard, in her junior year, Stacey met Mark A. White. They were married on December 18, 1994, and their union was blessed with the birth of their two sons, Miles Chancelor and Maxwell Jordan. Stacey, Mark and their sons moved to Las Vegas in 2001. She later obtained a degree in Nursing from the Delgado Charity School of Nursing. She was currently employed at Desert Regional Center. Stacey was also a member of Alpha Phi Omega Coed Service Fraternity.
No one will ever forget her beautiful smile and kind heart. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Mark; sons Miles and Maxwell, her parents; brothers and sisters; Grandmother Vernell; mother-in-law, Iris White; sisters-in-law, Brittney Richardson, Mia White,Myesha Cousin and Cathy Talley; brothers-in-law, Robin Richardson and Jacques Cousin; as well as a host of family members and friends. Her maternal grandmother Melonee Lewis, preceded her in death.
